“It’s been the honour of a lifetime to work as MLA for the community I have always called home,” said Corkum-Greek. “The people of Lunenburg can count on me to be their strong voice to get things done and deliver results. By working together as a community, we can keep fixing what was broken by the previous Liberal government and build better.”
Corkum-Greek has served as Minister of Economic Development in Premier Tim Houston’s government since 2021, part of a record number of female cabinet ministers for any government of any party. Before her election to the Legislature, Corkum-Greek spent nearly two decades in community journalism. Her professional and community experience also extended to tourism, culture, small manufacturing and the chamber of commerce movement. She also played key roles in the Lunenburg Waterfront Association and the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance.
“Susan Corkum-Greek knows community. She knows business. She knows how to get things done,” said Houston. “I need Susan Corkum-Greek re-elected as MLA to continue the work of our government to build up the constituency of Lunenburg and all Nova Scotia. We can’t go back to a government that ignores healthcare, neglects seniors, fights with workers, and supports the Liberal carbon tax.
